Just registered for my first race of the year! If you are able, please make a donation on my behalf to help protect the women in our lives and honor those who we’ve lost in the fight against cancers.

I will be running in memory of a beautiful childhood friend, Allyson Strong, who passed away at only 25 years old, from a hard fought struggle against small-cell cervical cancer this past Thanksgiving. Allyson was a dynamite fighter, a strong and inspirational woman who had so much to teach us about the beauty of life and gratitude. Her dancing spirit was contagious; all who have met her have said, “there is something special about her”. Her strength, dignity, and poise have been a true inspiration.Ally became a major advocate for research in her rare carcinoma. She will always be remembered as a courageous, selfless hero, and warrior against this illness.Ally will be a star that forever shines bright.

Proceeds from past EIF Revlon Run/Walks have funded cutting-edge research and targeted therapies, bringing new and innovative treatment approaches to women’s cancers worldwide. Monies raised have also helped numerous organizations in providing education, advocacy, and outreach services to those affected by women’s cancers. Revlon Brand Ambassadors Halle Berry, Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde will host this year’s EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women taking place in New York on Saturday, May 5 and in Los Angeles on Saturday, May 12. Stone and Wilde are first time hosts of the event and will be onsite in New York, while Berry, celebrating her sixth year with the Run/Walk, will be in Los Angeles. With tens of thousands of supporters each year and having distributed more than $65 million to date, the EIF Revlon Run/Walk is one of the nation’s largest single-day fundraisers to support women’s cancer research, counseling and outreach programs in New York City and Los Angeles.

“When I moved to Los Angeles years ago, one of the first things I did was participate in the EIF Revlon Run/Walk. I remember how moving it was to be amidst thousands of cancer survivors, patients and their loved ones. It’s hard to believe that now I have the privilege of being a co-host for the New York Run/Walk. It is truly one of the best parts of my job as a Revlon Global Ambassador and I hope that we have a record breaking year with participants and fundraising for this important event,” says Wilde.

The 15th annual New York race will start in Times Square and finish in the East Meadow of Central Park attracting over 20,000 participants. Read more
